When in doubt breathe in, breathe out.
It’s no small thing: what life’s about
right from the start until its end.
It might, therefore, help to attend
this basic lesson given us.
(Perhaps it’s just too obvious.)
It doesn’t help to drag along
what’s past, exhaled—was here, now gone.
Learn from the past then put aside,
let go, breathe out so to provide
essential space for energy.
It’s new, it’s now—step forth and see
today, the way that lies ahead—
its attitude dictates our tread.
We may well find anomalies
like helping one their load to ease
can lighten our own burdens—strange—
defying laws in physics range.
The path has pitfalls, times get tough
‘This too shall pass.’—Is it enough
To urge us on? Depends, perhaps,
(no help from Google, handy apps) …
Rather allow, provide the space
for breath of comfort, gift of grace
that comes our way from gentle friends.
It’s generosity that lends
us what we need. With thanks we start
arising from the slough, impart
due gratitude—for it’s by this
we get to conquer what’s amiss.
The flow is back—the out and in
receive and give—a heroine
or hero in our own best way
ensuring people, planet stay
looked after. Whew—an exhalation—
all part of life’s rich invitation
to help yourself to exultation!
